libio-multiplex-perl software package provides object-oriented interface to select() for Perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libio-multiplex-perl
libio-multiplex-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libio-multiplex-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libio-multiplex-perl *
You will get with libio-multiplex-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
